Ravensblight Ghost House - Pt 4

S-l-o-w-l-y but surely the Ghost House by Ravensblight.com is coming around. I got the lower porch installed. It took me a while to get it assembled because I braced the ever-lovin'-livin' heck out of it! I counted about 18 pieces of stripwood cut to fit all those nooks and crannies. Enjoy! Marx Military Flatcar Load - Tank Gray-Silver HP

A new acquisition to the fleet is this original Marx flatcar load tank in gray-silver HP. Marx often times molded their plastic train accessories (and this was made as a flatcar load) in a muted gray-silver color. This example, like several already posted, was painted to look more 'realistic' probably by some well meaning youngster and I have no plans on removing the paint because of the charm it adds to the piece. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

This photo almost makes the tank look silver but's just the way the light is shining on it

Notice the Marx logo under the turret

Some comaprison shots of an original Marx (L) with a Marx of Miami repo (R) Note that the repo tank is more silver-colored than it is gray

Marx Military Flatcar Load - Troop Carrier Red HP 2

Here's the last original example of the Marx Military Flatcar loads I have - for now :-) This too is a re-painted example and quite frankly, I like this better than the bright red original! But that's just me, I know a lot of collector's prefer to see these things in their pristine original colors. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Marx Military Flatcar Load - Troop Carrier Red HP

Okay, like I said at the beginning of this series of Marx Military Flatcar Loads I only have five originals of the six different types of vehicles offered. The Troop Carrier we're showing today is the last of the originals I have (actually, I've got another one of these in red which has been painted - we'll look at that one tomorrow or the next day). This one appears to have had a minor paint job with the headlights painted in silver and remnants of a darker color on the tarp/canopy. It measures 4" (10.16cm) L x 1 5/8" (4.12cm) W x 1 5/8" (4.12cm) H. Enjoy! After we post that painted over Troop carrier we'll look at a complete set of repos.  Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
