Pyro Army Tank - Olive Green HP

At first this tank reminded me of the UK's Centurion tank, but after posting a couple of these pics to my facebook groups I'm satisfied now that this particular toy is pretty much just total fantasy - a generic toy tank (BTW the Centurion only had four drive wheels while this tank has five). It's interesting, being a history buff (both actual history and toy history), to see how manufacturer's treated their subjects. Some toys were most definitely modeled on actual equipment, others bore striking resemblances (but with distinct differences) to the real thing, while yet others were total fantasy. This goes for planes, trains, cars, trucks, tanks, ships, you name it. And usually I prefer to know what a toy is based on when I post it on the blog (although that's not always a prerequisite). The tank measures 5" (12.7cm) L (hull) 5 3/4" (14.6cm) L (to end of barrel) x 2 1/2" (5.71cm) W x 2 3/8" (6.03cm) H (to top of tank commander's head). Enjoy!
