Super Blue Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse

Here's a series of photos Bettina took last night during the Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse (or was that the Blue Super Eclipse Blood Moon, or Bloody Super Full Elicliptical Blueish Moon???) whatever. Last night's Moon just had far too many names tacked on to it - let's just say the Moon had a busy night and so did Bettina, getting up around 3AM to capture the event. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Bettina has her own method for photographing the Moon. She almost always starts with a smaller image with the lens in its normal position. Then she slowly zooms in on it taking several photos along the way, until it fills the camera's frame. Thus you'll see here smaller, but brighter images which shows the progression of the eclipse in starker contrast to the more detailed in-focus shots

Bettina hand-holds the camera so after standing out in the cold, some of the shots are now a tad fuzzy
